Consulting / Planning
Impression Technology offers consulting services to assist the user in determining the best printer(s) with regard to the following criteria:

  • Application

Initial consultation to determine the requirements is always at no charge. If further research is required after the initial consultation, a quote will be presented for the project and will include a time line for completion. The final report will define printer types (i.e. laser, line, thermal), specifications, interfaces, quantities, and price quote. If the printers are purchased from Impression Technology, 50% of the consulting fee is applied to the purchase.

Sales
Impression Technology is a Printer Distributor; purchasing directly from manufacturers and selling to value added resellers and end users. Our published price list is available on request and written quotes will be provided for multiple unit orders, non profit organizations, and government agencies. Our policy of providing printer solutions at a fair and reasonable price allows us to provide initial after sales support at no cost to the purchaser. All printers and associated hardware sold by Impression Technology are fully supported both in and out of warranty.

Leasing
Impression Technology has a leasing program for most printer models. Service contracts can be incorporated as part of the lease to provide full coverage support for the duration of the lease.

Custom Configuration
Impression Technology will custom configure printers and interfaces per the user's specifications to allow plug-and-play operation. Printers/interfaces can also be configured to minimize programming requirements. Ask about this service; it is very beneficial when a wide variety of forms (preprinted or plain paper) are being used.

Installation
Impression Technology provides no charge phone support for any installation as required. On-site installation and product training by Impression Technology, or through many of our business partners, is negotiable.

Service Contracts

On-Site Service
Impression Technology will quote on site service for printers that are too large to be easily shipped by ordinary quick delivery freight carriers (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc). On-site service may also be provided by our partners, direct with the manufacturer, or through other third party maintenance companies. IBM will provide on-site maintenance for many of our printers. Call for quotes and sources for your installation.

Overnight Replacement Service
Ten years ago Impression Technology became one of the first companies to offer overnight replacement service contracts, allowing users to realize maintenance savings and still obtain the same or better response to downtime. This program is really quite simple in concept. Impression Technology stocks printers to use as replacements for defective contracted units.

If a failure occurs, the user calls an 800 number and is assisted in determining if the error can be easily corrected by the user (i.e., turn the power on, reseat the interface cable, reset the printer, replace the consumables). This process is normally less than five minutes.

If this process is unsuccessful, a replacement printer is sent overnight. It is pre-configured if the user has supplied Impression Technology with their configuration. Upon arrival, the user is only required to disconnect the power and interface cables and replace the defective unit with the exchange. The user then packs the defective unit in the exchange unit's packaging and Impression Technology arranges to have it picked up for return. The defective unit becomes the property of Impression Technology and the replacement unit the property of the user. A no charge invoice is sent to the user indicating the serial numbers of the two units and the transaction is complete.

The yearly contract price includes all these services, and there is never a per incident charge.

Although this program works very well for most of our customers, there are a few that require their own printers be returned after repair. In this case , the user is responsible for the two extra freights incurred.

Service contract users receive a 15% discount from the retail price of consumables for contracted printers and receive free phone support for printer related questions regarding hardware or software.

Overnight replacement contracts are available in the continental United States and companies that have more than one printer are eligible for multiple unit discounts.

Time and Material Service
Impression Technology provides time and material service for all the printers it markets and for many other printer models. Estimates for repair can normally be given directly over the phone if the defect can be described. In the event the printer must be shipped to Impression Technology, for a quote, there is a $50.00 checkout fee which is applied to the repair charge if the customer chooses to have the printer repaired. If not, the $50.00 is due and payable and the defective printer is returned to the user. All freight is the responsibility of the user.

Consumables
Impression Technology provides consumables for all printers that it markets.

Highly discounted Consumable Kits are available for certain laser printer models that have multiple consumable components. Impression Technology also provides remanufacturing of certain laser printer consumables to further decrease cost of operation. All remanufactured consumables are warranted to meet or exceed original manufacturer's specifications.

Trade - In
Impression Technology accepts trade-ins on new printer sales. Call for quote.

Used / Demo Printers
Impression Technology will periodically offer used or demo printers. These printers are completely tested, parts replaced as required and warranted for 90 days. These printer are eligible for service contract programs offered by Impression Technology.

Forms Design
Impression Technology provides computer generated forms design for Doc Suite by Praim, Inc. This innovative program allows the integration of printable text output files with computer generated forms to enhance the hardcopy output and eliminate, or minimize, the need for preprinted forms. Doc Suite, and its associated hardware, is independent of the data source and does not require any changes in the source data stream. All the print features associated with present "Desk Top Publishing Technology" can be applied to your hardcopy. Multiple pages / forms can also be generated from the same data to provide concurrent output of forms such as Invoices, Shippers and Shipping labels. This leading edge technology can provide a new face for your forms for the new millennium.
